Friends,

Last month saw our well attended annual Session Kick-off event. It’s great to see new faces and old, albeit through the screen rather than in a more personal environment. In-person meetings are coming but in this instance we couldn’t make the logistics work given the time we had available. We had a quick-fire run through our committees and activities and for the first time we used the Pecha Kucha 20×20 (www.pechakucha.com) format to keep things lively and quick paced. This is a format we will revisit in future. Following the introductions we had a number of breakouts rooms for more focused chat and we welcomed several new volunteers into the fold.

Our technical and outreach programmes are gathering pace again, with a number of upcoming events scheduled. We’ve had and are looking forward to more interesting output from our Net Zero Committee, especially pertinent as we fast approach COP 26 which will have a huge influence on our energy outlook going forwards.

As always, we look to seek out the best from our industry and would welcome technical submissions for a variety of events. Full details and information can be seen below.
