COP 26 – What Does It Mean For O&G?

Register Here.

SPE Aberdeen & London Young Professional & Net Zero Committees have joined forces to bring you this virtual event discussing how COP26 outcomes are likely to impact the oil and gas industry’s role in the transition. For example what does it mean for CCS, a key transition industry that oil and gas infrastructure and skills can support? What about green and blue hydrogen? What is the future outlook for “stranded” oil and gas assets and the associated financial fall out? What role will gas play as the cleanest fossil fuel? Has COP26 helped solidify a path forward that will increase investor and worker confidence, in terms of reporting requirements and net zero policy and commitments? How should O&G companies be diversifying and what does it mean for O&G workers?
